Starpause’s Nonfinite-modded underclocked DMG. I’ve always heard about the benefits of underclocking a Game Boy for live performance, but I haven’t actually seen one in action until now. Hopefully one of these days I’ll have a better understanding of LSDJ to make proper use of a mod like this. Big ups to Nonfinite for sharing. (via tinycartridge)

Show & Tell at the Austin Indie Games Summit →
Offworld’s Brandon Boyer recently had the opportunity to give a presentation at Austin GDC’s Indie Games Summit, giving its attendees a glimpse of the very best independent games have to offer. Derek Yu’s Spelunky, Superbrothers-designed platformer Alpinist and Polytron’s 2D/3D fusion adventure Fez were amongst the incredible lineup of titles he exhibited during his early...

Bit Shifter to perform live at Engadget Show →
Bit Shifter, who is by far one of my favorite chipmusicians, will be performing live this Sunday at the taping of the premiere episode of The Engadget Show, accompanied by the VJ stylings of Paris Treantafeles and Mary Ann Benedetto. In addition to live music, the show will also feature an interview with Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein, tech news, discussions and other general nerdiness regarding things...

Lo-Tek Resistance at PAX 2009 Video games are cool and all, but one of the major highlights of my weekend here in Seattle has been Lo-Tek Resistance, the impromptu street performance engineered by members of Crunchy Co Records. Anyone near the front entrance of the Washington State Convention Center on Friday was treated to three amazing hours of Game Boy-powered jams from Fighter X, Seanbad,...
