“Dolven” by Wiley Wiggins

You might know Wiley Wiggins best as the actor who played the kid in Dazed & Confused, Waking Life and various other Richard Linklater films, but I assure you he’s far from a one-trick pony – Hacker, designer and video artist Wiggins has crafted this haunting and evocative piece using altered clips from the Italian horror film Stridulum and glitched artifacts from RAM-corrupted NES ROMs run through a patch in Quartz Composer.

Like he mentions in his statement, it can be a bit exhausting to see this kind of aesthetic constantly presented alongside electronic music, and his use of the ambient soundtrack by Amasa Gana is a refreshingly different yet still amazingly cohesive change of pace.
