The folks over at The Tank and 8bitpeoples have one hell of a show planned for New York chipmusic fans this weekend. This Saturday, an onslaught of international chiptune talent will converge in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen for a very special PULSEWAVE event.
Attendees will be treated to live performances from Swedish Game Boy superstar Covox, Nanolooping Montreal native Touchboy, folksy chip minstrel Bud Melvin and South By Southwest veterans 8BK-ok. But that’s not all — There will also be a chiptune open mic, DJ sets from Natty and C-tor, visuals by Jean Y. Kim, David Mauro and V-Blank and one more special screening of Reformat The Planet from our friends at 2 Player Productions before they permanently ship off to the West Coast.
The party starts at 7PM at The Tank, 354 W 45th St, between 8th & 9th Ave. Open mic is at 8PM, followed by the first act at 9:30PM. More info is at the official PULSEWAVE website. Don’t miss it!
