Arranged chronologically from 2009 to 2003 and ending with my “minusbaby” logotype, this collection of twelve prints represents much of my output for 8bitpeoples, an influential record label and artists’ collective responsible for spreading chip music globally. As with my music, a marked pattern of subtle, collective order may be observed with candid playfulness being replaced by an increase of cogitative and symbolic elements. I feel that it is important for pixel artists to practice the form not solely as a reference to vintage gaming, but as a diagrammatically simple means to represent and describe the mood and tone of the commission’s objective.
