Q+A: Gannon and his Electronic Toy Orchestra
There were plenty of DIY veterans peforming and exhibiting their work at this year’s Bent Festival in Brooklyn, NY. But it’s interesting to note that one of the most enjoyable and bizarre performances I observed this weekend was from a fellow who, in comparison to his peers, was relatively new to the art of circuitbending. Being that I’m not terribly experienced with the subject myself, I felt that speaking with AJ Pyatak (aka Gannon) would be a good starting point if I was going to find out what DIY electronics and its associated culture are all about.
